The special feature of this wide neck wash bottle is a safety valve integrated into the spray cap. This valve regulates the internal pressure of the bottle and can release any excess pressure caused by temperature fluctuations or evaporation.
When the room temperature rises or the sun shines on the bottle, conventional wash bottles start to drip uncontrollably due to the rising internal pressure. The vent valve allows the excess pressure to escape and prevents dripping.
The vent valve is leak proof, i.e. if the bottle is knocked over or held at an angle or upside down, it will not leak, as is the case with other kinds of wash bottles that have a ball valve or a simple vent hole.
