The combination of a cooled, high-resolution camera and unique optical imaging allows chemiPRO to produce true-to-life images, not just digitally enhanced ones. With chemiPRO, it is possible to resolve tight chemistry and fluorescence bands or spots, even on complex gels, and show that they are real.

Intelligent chemiluminescence
When taking chemiluminescence blots, it is often difficult to get the exposure time right. With genePIX, chemiPRO can be adjusted to provide the optimal exposure, depending on whether a fast or high-quality image is required. As the dynamic range of chemiPRO is better than that of X-ray film, more accurate quantifiable data is also produced. Images of visible protein markers can even be captured and with genePIX these can be overlaid on a chemiluminescent image to aid molecular weight calculations.
Simple stain-free imaging of protein gels
chemiPRO comes with a preset stain-free imaging protocol in the genePIX software, allowing pristine, accurate images of protein gels without the hassle of staining and decolourising with dyes such as Coomassie Blue.
